To all ye who want to paint with light ...

I should have started this blog many moons ago as I started experiencing the joys of rediscovering the art of photography. But as the saying goes - it's better late, than never!
So, here I am, in the hopes of recording what I learn as I progress from ignorance to enlightenment; about what my eyes can see that my camera can capture; and, what my mind imagines and my camera paints with its capabilities.

Please feel free to add any comments and share your wisdom (tips or tricks) that you have picked up along the way.

And do check out my How-To and Birding pages as well.

Day 35 - Photo effects

Since I was feeling quite under the weather, I had no energy for any photography yesterday.  So, I had to do something today and my grocery bag yielded some colourful photo ops.  The shots didn't turn out too badly, but I couldn't really get the black background to work well.  I was too tired to keep shooting, and it was practically dark inside my kitchen to continue much longer.  So I decided to try some edge blurring, vignetting, colour boosting and matte finishing in a feeble attempt to repair the shots.

Since I had bumped up the ISO a bit, I can see some noise in some of the shots and there's also a strange greenish square in the middle of the second photo.  No idea where that came from, either.  Not a greatly productive day, unfortunately.
