To all ye who want to paint with light ...

I should have started this blog many moons ago as I started experiencing the joys of rediscovering the art of photography. But as the saying goes - it's better late, than never!
So, here I am, in the hopes of recording what I learn as I progress from ignorance to enlightenment; about what my eyes can see that my camera can capture; and, what my mind imagines and my camera paints with its capabilities.

Please feel free to add any comments and share your wisdom (tips or tricks) that you have picked up along the way.

And do check out my How-To and Birding pages as well.

Day 32 - Birds at dusk

I wanted to try shooting a sunset, but since I couldn't drive out to anywhere interesting I settled for the sunset by the riverside.  I stopped on my way a number of times to get some nice pictures of the birds native to Ile des Soeurs, and got a few nice frames.  But the light was a bit of a challenge today as I was late getting out.

The sunset pictures didn't turn out that interesting as I realized to my total dismay that not only did the sun set behind some buildings from where I was looking, but also there were no clouds that I anticipated would give some definition to my photos.  Alas!  I have to try again sometime.  The day was so overcast for the most part, you would think there would be some clouds left for my photo shoot!  :-(
