To all ye who want to paint with light ...

I should have started this blog many moons ago as I started experiencing the joys of rediscovering the art of photography. But as the saying goes - it's better late, than never!
So, here I am, in the hopes of recording what I learn as I progress from ignorance to enlightenment; about what my eyes can see that my camera can capture; and, what my mind imagines and my camera paints with its capabilities.

Please feel free to add any comments and share your wisdom (tips or tricks) that you have picked up along the way.

And do check out my How-To and Birding pages as well.

Day 209 - Holy Smokes!

This is my second try at smoke photography.  I had a lot of fun doing this but it's far from perfect.  I intend to improve this over the course of this week, so you can either choose to stay tuned (while getting bored) for the how-to that will come right after I'm done as much as I could, or you could come back in a few days.  :)  Smoke photography is actually pretty interesting, if you haven't tried it before.

  1. the second one seems like one of the thread paintings ... beautiful!!!

  2. very good, should try combining them to make a abstract painting.
