To all ye who want to paint with light ...

I should have started this blog many moons ago as I started experiencing the joys of rediscovering the art of photography. But as the saying goes - it's better late, than never!
So, here I am, in the hopes of recording what I learn as I progress from ignorance to enlightenment; about what my eyes can see that my camera can capture; and, what my mind imagines and my camera paints with its capabilities.

Please feel free to add any comments and share your wisdom (tips or tricks) that you have picked up along the way.

And do check out my How-To and Birding pages as well.

Day 94 - Rainy day holiday

Since I have nothing to post for today, I'm going to post a couple from yesterday's shoot.  I love the summer for all the birds and wildflowers.  However, I'm yet to see many butterflies.  This was my first encounter with one.

I was shooting in shutter priority mode as there was quite a breeze and I was having issues with getting a single shot with sharp focus.

I accidentally forgot to adjust my high ISO on this one, so I had to fix the highlights a little bit in post-processing.
I fixed the ISO for this next one though.

This was taken with my 250 mm lens - a tiny critter, but the ray of sunlight illuminated a part of the wing really beautifully.
