To all ye who want to paint with light ...

I should have started this blog many moons ago as I started experiencing the joys of rediscovering the art of photography. But as the saying goes - it's better late, than never!
So, here I am, in the hopes of recording what I learn as I progress from ignorance to enlightenment; about what my eyes can see that my camera can capture; and, what my mind imagines and my camera paints with its capabilities.

Please feel free to add any comments and share your wisdom (tips or tricks) that you have picked up along the way.

And do check out my How-To and Birding pages as well.

Day 231 - Relearning the Alphabet: The Letter "B"

The Letter "B" - "B" for Beans, Blend, Break, Buh-Bye

I accidentally deleted my images yesterday, after labouring over them!  And today's effort was a little bit sloppy as I wanted to get this over and done with as fast as possible.  I have to finish some last minute packing before my flight tomorrow afternoon.

I will be taking a break from posting and so the farewell - I am gone for the next week or so, spending time with friends in San Francisco.

Last but not least - Merry Christmas, everyone and wish you all a great start to the new year!  Thank you for constantly supporting me through the past months as I learned how to do this and that, and for all the great comments and feedback you kept sending my way.  I wish you all a fabulous holiday season and see you again in the new year!

Day 104 - Lunch time!

Lacking energy and inspiration for photography, but not for food.  I made this club sandwich with sliced hard-boiled egg, sliced shallots, tomatoes and cucumbers.  Slapped on some mint chutney and a spicy ketchup to give it a twist.  Accompanied by some spicy corn sticks, there was only one word for it - yum!

And the mug was a gift from a friend when I left Ottawa to come settle in Montreal two and a half years ago.  I remember her each time I use it.
